Old Parish Map

East Oxford refers to the area covered by the Parish of Cowley St John. 'east Oxford' refers to the whole area of Oxford immediately east of the Magdalen Bridge

Ecclesiastical parish of Cowley St. John, 1868–1992,
on 1876 OS map.
Click the map for a larger version. You can also see the perimeter mapped on to the current street plan.*

(* The parish boundary is
the same as on the modern map but the western part does not fit the 1830 map due
to inaccuracies in the location of the Cherwell on that map.)
